“Fire”

arab-candy

With “Palestinians” dancing in the streets and  passing out candy, tens of thousands of Israelis are being evacuated from their homes. Islamic “Palestinian” terrorists are burning our forest around Israeli villages and cities. Cyprus, Greece, Russia and others are sending in help with their fire fighting planes. The insanity of these Muslims Terrorists never seems to end and always finds a new low to prove their inability to ever find peace in this world. The Palestinian President Abbas when asked about the fires just smiled and started sucking on a piece of hard candy in his mouth. This is the man the world is asking Israel to have peace with.

Israel and the world are being tested by fire, natural fire and the fire of the Holy Spirit is judging us in many ways.

This morning I found reading the Word was where we should be for there is the Wisdom of God for all occasions. My eyes fell on

Rom.5

[1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: [2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. [3] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; [4] And patience, experience; and experience, hope: [5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Tribulation worketh patience

Patience, experience; and experience hope:

I sit there wondering why I was led to that verse of Scripture, I hung my head and just meditated on the Word for a while and it came to me another verse.

Heb. 12:

5] And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: [6] For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. [7] If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

[10] For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

God is not mad at us He wants us to be partakers of His holiness. He will prove us before He approves us. Maybe I should say it this way; it is our 40 days of testing in the wilderness before approval. The testing in the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life. These are the same three test Yeshua suffered through before coming out of the wilderness with the Power of the Holy Spirit. You might notice He was led into the wilderness by the Spirit but led out by the power of the Spirit.

Sometimes trouble and hard times are not to reprove us but to improve us. Trouble is far more your friend than your enemy. Our ways and God’s more often than not go in different directions, it is God who is reaching out and chastening us to bring us alongside of Him and to walk with Him.

Another Scripture if you don’t mind.

I-Peter

[6] Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: [7] That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

We will be tried with fire, the word “tried” in the Greek is “Dacamonzo” meaning to be tried, tested, proven and at the end the dross will come to the top to be swept away leaving pure gold or silver. I find that so wonderful, it can be very painful or unpleasant at times but necessary to shed the impurities we gather along the way in this world.

We are in such a time of testing in this ministry as well. Joel is today in Cyprus having to make an emergency stop there on the way to Turkey. He sits there with a 60-foot Gullet and then his crew had to return to Israel by plane leaving him with no crew. But that is only a small part of the problem facing him and us. He barely had enough money to make the trip and pay for the mooring in Turkey until May. Now that money needs to be spent on repairs to the transmission. On top of that I have been very sick for the past week with some sort of virus that has left me very weak, slowly recovering but far from able to make the trip today but praying for a real healing. Even if I am able to make the trip right away we don’t have the finances to,  so what needs to be done?

The Tenach [Old Testament] says it this way; He keeps sifting the gold or silver until He can see Himself in you.

We are hurting, Israel and the world is hurting, many reading this are hurting in many ways.

John 13:

[34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Gen 12: 3 I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this ministry and your part in it.

Shalom, Jerry
