Ukrainian Jews Told To Register or Be Deported

4-19-2014
The leaflet demanded the Ukraine Jews supply a detailed list of all the property they own, or else have their citizenship revoked, face deportation and see their assets confiscated. For years I have warned this was going to happen and like Germany of the 30’s and 40’s it will get worse, much worse in the coming months for the Jews of Ukraine.
Jews emerging from a synagogue say they were handed leaflets by armed Russian soldiers that ordered the city’s Jews to provide a list of property they own and pay a registration fee “or else have their citizenship revoked, face deportation and see their assets confiscated,” reported Ynet News, Israel’s largest news website, and Ukraine’s Donbass news agency

There is no doubt that these flyers were passed out by Russian Soldiers, but I am skeptical about the flyer’s authenticity, but the instructions clearly recall the Nazi era and have the effect of intimidating the local Jewish community. This is how it all begin in the 30’s and like then there are now Rabbis jealous of losing their congregation – saying everything will be OK just sit tight and wait – things will get better, this is our home. Once again they are very wrong – for another Holocaust is on the horizon.

This same Nazi hatred is raging throughout all of Europe, French Jews are living in fear and last year saw the largest increase of French Jews migrating to Israel. Paris and London now have communities were Sharia law has taken over and the police stay out of them.

European Jews have found themselves caught between a rock and hard spot. They hear of the coming war in Israel and yet they fear to stay where they know that daily it becomes more unsafe for them. The dilemma is this; if they sit still much longer and war breaks out – and it is only a matter of time – there will be no airlines willing to carry them to Israel. There will be no flights in or out of Israel and the Israeli air force will be too busy fighting for survival to come after them. This leaves but one possible way to get home to Israel when the dust settles – by boat – that is were we come in.

This ministry has spent much effort making sure we can rescue the European Jews who will soon be running for their lives. When I heard of what is happening in the Ukraine I contacted the proper offices in the Knesset and made them aware of our ability with two 60-foot boats to rescue Jews knowing that they were already aware of this ministry. The Ukraine is not a scenario we have planned for as it is practically outside our range for operating with the boats we now have. It would be a very long trip for these boats taking two weeks or more – and at least two stops for fuel if the sea and wind was not in our favor. Each boat would have to carry at least 30 and a crew of 4 with luggage and provisions not even taking into account any medical attention that may be needed. One of the boats is now equipped with a water distilling device – one isn’t. Both have the necessary electronics for a safe sea voyage, but the weather could be a real factor, not to mention having to go around Istanbul and to the far end of the black sea.

With all that in mind we were, and still are, willing to set sail at any time the Israeli Government says OK. For years I have wanted to purchase a larger Turkish Gullet around 40 meters – capable of carrying over 100 with provisions. That has not been financially possible as the cost for a decent used boat of that size which is seaworthy costs anywhere from $400k to 1-million and up.

As we sit today we are ready and capable to rescue European Jews who can make it to the Greek Islands, Turkey Coast, and Cyprus. These trips take no more than 2 days requiring a lot less in provisions and allowing more room for Jews and some personal luggage. However the Ukraine is way out of our theater of operation and creates many more logistic problems. But if called on, we will drop everything and go regardless of the danger or threats.

As the time for full scale operation gets closer for this ministry we are in great need of finances – not to mention the need to purchase the larger boat to save many more. To operate the boats we now have and the purchase of fuel, and provisions is very expensive. In short, if God has called you to be part of this ministry now is the time for you to make a really sacrificial gift.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this ministry and your part in it.
Shalom, Jerry Golden
